This 118 to 127 year old piece has a rare ironstone mark and Moss Rose pattern and is completely functional in spite of its age.
The mark on this piece was used from 1895 to 1904.
J.M. & Co. is the mark for John Moses & Co.

An ironstone china called graniteware, or white granite, was used for this piece and was a standard of American potteries from about 1860 to 1900.
There are no chips or repairs.
There is a crack where the handle meets the top body of the pitcher and cracks on the bottom of the pitcher, as shown in the photos. The cracks do not impact the integrity of the piece, however, which store continues to be usable for its original purpose.
A solid collectible.
