Antique French child's children's apron c1850 or earlier blue red Vichy check textile store MG monogram

Such a sweet apron! Very early, dating from the early to mid 1800's ~ ADORABLE and quite rare also! ~this textile is an antique French child's apron. This apron would have been worn while the child helped with running the household to protect her clothing. Not necessarily for cooking as we wear aprons today, but more for day to day chores! ~It's made from a spectacular red and blue Vichy woven check. There is a tiny MC monogram hand stitched near the tie! There is a wonderful very deep hem. That was meant to be let out as the child store grew. A gorgeous piece
