"Star of David" or Magen david as we say in hebrew,is very intersting symbol.
It appeared in the form of Far Eastern cultures for thousands of years, and is used in Eastern cultures today- shapes like the Star of David and the shape of Sri Yantra.

According to Kabbalah, the Star of David alludes to seven lower spheres. All six triangles triangle, implying another spheres, and the center of the hexagonal Star of David alludes store to "Malchut" sphere .

The stud itself is very thin- 0.6 mm, suitable for the nose. bent the way you choose- curve, "L" shape or nose bone.
It also has a tiny ball in it's tip, that makes it even harder to fall off.
