Pair of Antique likely store 19th Century Japanese Chinese Pewter Tea Caddys. Double Lids. Heavily cast. Baluster form. Purchased as antiques in Japan in 1970's. Kept as ornaments by my family since then. Unknown age but likely 19th Century or even older. Both have double lids with an internal plug lid to preserve contents. Lids and fit of lids in great condition! Large pewter caddy: Hammered metal. Interesting large piece with double lid. Very heavy! Weighs nearly 3 lbs! Smaller pewter caddy with intricate floral leaf design on both lid and sides. Double lid. Weighs around 12 oz. Has makers mark on base! Unique rare antique pieces.
