Turn-mold blown, thin walled, minimalist, slightly flared, stacking glasses, designed by Kaj Franck in 1953.
In production: 1953 - 1967.
The glasses feature in the British Museum's permanent collection.
They are increasingly difficult to find, especially in such a good condition.

* Kaj Franck (1911-1989) is considered by many as "the conscience of Finnish design". Functionality and compatibility were the underlying concepts of his streamlined utility articles, which he often choose to decorate only with color. He designed articles that were beautiful, functional and affordable to the public.His involvement in the design industry was extensive. He was a glass designer for Riihimaen Lasi in 1934.From 1943 to 1973, he was the head of design of ceramic utility wares for Arabia and also design director from 1968 to 1973. He designed glass for Iittala from 1946 to 1950. From 1950 to 1976 he was the art director for Nuutajarvi glass.He also designed textile, furniture, lighting and plastics. In addition to glass utility wares he also designed art glass which was often decorated with color or colorless glass many with internal bubbles. He received many awards,medals and prizes. His works are include in the following collections:The Victoria and Albert Museum, Musee des Arts Decoratifs, the Museum of the Modern Art, the Corning Glass Museum and many museums in his homeland, Finland.
