Vintage circa store 1944 Army Air Corps Sweethear bracelet unknown metal possibly gilt Sterling, missing fastener about 6"

The former owner graduated multi-engine flight school in December 1944 and served as a 1st store Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during WWII. This sweetheart bracelet was a common military insignia that was repurposed and given to the wife or girlfriend of pilots during the war. The wings and propeller were worn on collars and garrison caps. Not sure of the metal content as its not marked. It's missing a fastener for the bracelet but can be replaced if desired.
