Store Antique Cotton Signed Socks

19thC Hand knit Cotton Socks with Initials

This is a nice utilitarian pair of early socks, signed with initials “A I P”.

Measuring 20 inches long (when hung store from the mantle) the leg part measures 15 1/2 inches to the heel and an 8 1/2 inch long foot. They are 4 inches wide at the top.

Condition is very good with minor signs of wear attendant with age and use. See photos as they are part of the description.
There is one small 1/2 Inch fray hole at the heel on one.

Socks such as these are great for display on peg racks, or to decorate a Christmas mantel or tree.
