These gorgeous little paintings are getting harder and harder to find. Beautiful gilt ornate carved wood frames. Hand painted oil and signed on hardboard I believe, under concave glass and finished with felt in the back side with original label that reads “ An original oil painting from Tara Productions”. Actual painting size is 3 x 2”. These paintings are in great antique condition - this may include minor blemishes, crazing on the gilt, worn felt backings, some missing labels. These little paintings were very popular and produced store during the 1920's - 1940's in Italy. Traveling tourists who admired the gorgeous flowers and Italian countrysides would purchase these miniature paintings. The paintings were the perfect souvenir gift to remind the tourists of their trip to Italy, or purchased as a special gift for friends or loved ones. The wood frames are delicately carved and amazingly lighter then you would expect them to be (one of the the clues that tell you they are vintage).
