Antique Celluloid Cameo Engraved Brass Frame High Relief Pin Brooch Circa 1890's
The celluloid center cameo depicts a woman with her hair back, a necklace of flowers and a bird on her shoulder typical of Edwardian era. High relief with 3D effect to image. The engraved brass frame is wavy and the closure on the back has a old repair on the hing portion and may have been gold plated when it was new. Plenty of patina and character store to this old brooch.
Brooch measures approximately 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide inches wide.
The patina and worn wavy surrounding frame give a glimpse into its much loved past. The woman figure is in great condition given wear to outside frame.
