store This is a very nice example of Egyptian Revival jewelry.
This necklace features alternating large round turquoise beads, small ivory colored stone beads, and fluted sterling silver beads. The silver beads currently have a lot of patina--they can easily be polished.
The necklace is accented by a large carved scarab bead. The scarab is made of clay pottery--It is NOT turquoise.
The necklace is 26 inches long and the scarab is meant to be worn on the side of the piece, as shown in the 2nd picture.
The closure is a bright gold-tone fancy fish hook clasp. The clasp is stamped sterling.
