Nomadic Talisman Necklace - Asymmetrical store Open Front Torque Collar Necklace, One of a Kind -By Gypsy Intent

A one of a kind, asymmetrical torque collar necklace from my Nomadic Talisman line with two eclectic focal points. This one is done in a black and mixed metal color scheme.

The choker which was completely handmade using ethically sourced recycled copper, has swirling loops at both ends, leaving the front of the necklace open in the center. From the loops I dangled a selection of beads and charms. On one side hangs a teardrop charm made from polished horn with a metal eye bead above it. From the loop on the opposite side of the collar is the store same metal eye bead with an etched black jade bead below it and a small tassel of Kuchi charms and chains at the bottom.

I made the collar in my studio. I shaped by hand and hammered for strength and texture. It has been given a dark patina and then lightly buffed to bring out the warm copper glow. I sealed the necklace with microcrystalline wax to protect the finish. The beauty of copper is that it will change color over time depending on the wearer's body chemistry, the elements it is exposed to, etc. For me this is one of the wonderful things about copper.

The necklace will flex slightly as you slip it gently over the neck from the back of the neck to the front.
This collar is 18 inches from one copper loop to the other. This necklace length doesn't include the space in between the loops in front. People usually wear these with the charms spaced between 1 to 3 inches apart. I make smaller sized collars as well.
