Unusually pretty vintage 1940s locket especially popular among WWII-era sweethearts. A trio of forget-me-nots crown the locket supported by delicate filigree scrolls. The white guilloche enamel is hand-painted with a lush, deep pink rose. Removable window at the back. On a new gold-filled rolo chain. LOCKET: approx. 1-1/8" by 1-1/4" - CHAIN: 20"

The glass window compartment at back can hold a photo and is deep enough to hold a lock of hair.

The glass window takes a little patience to remove, so we will remove it before shipping. Once your photo and-or memento is placed, the window is easy to reinsert. The window compartment is approximately 3/4" diameter by 1/8" thick.

No hallmarks. Metal rationing was in effect during WWII and these lockets were typically vermeil (gold over silver).

In excellent vintage condition. The enamel and glass window are pristine. Any darker or lighter areas are only shadows or reflections.
