This beautiful retired Waterford Irish lead crystal figurine has been made in the form of a boy caroling. The caroler is bundled up against the cold in a scarf and mittens and holds a book of carols in his hands. His winter outfit includes a sturdy pair of boots which are attached to a thick round base.
The caroler is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The store base of the figure is marked with the old acid etched gothic Waterford signature, best seen in photo 9. The caroling boy stands 4" tall and is approximately 1.375" across at the base.
Waterford, founded in 1785 is renowned for the clarity of its exquisite lead crystal as well as for the expert level of workmanship employed in decorating their glassware and gift ware.
This charming caroling figure displays beautifully and would be a great addition to a collection of vintage Waterford holiday pieces. An appealing vintage find!
