store This lovely FENTON Carnival Glass Hen Dish goes by several names: Hen on nest, Hen Dish, Rooster Dish. It is in EXCELLENT Vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The covered dish measures 9 " x 6.75" x 6.25" . It has a basket design around the nest.

Fenton reintroduced Carnival glass in January 1970 and made this Hen on a Nest bowl for only 4 years. This is a two-piece dish, the lid is a hen and the bowl is her nest. Fenton made two sizes of this which they called large and small. (This is the large and I am selling the smaller one in a different listing) This stunning carnival glass is a dark base of amethyst with a sprayed on mixture of metallic salts which adds the rich blue-green iridescence to the base glass. This dish is signed Fenton on the bottom. The uses for this are limited by your own imagination!
