Rare Apache Mother and Baby Doll Set
This is a rare native American made Apache mother and baby doll set, with a traditional Apache cradleboard. The mother doll is made all of cloth. I love how her features are elongated and stylized- I think she looks unique! Her face is embroidered and her hair is yarn. She wears layered calico clothes, a beaded necklace and little leather boots. This doll measures approx 18" H x 12" W x 9" D.
The baby is in a traditional Apache cradleboard made of wood and fabric that is all hand sewn. The baby doll is very basic, made of cloth with a hand drawn face and wool hair. The body is not articulated or detailed. The cradleboard measures approx 6" H x 3" W x 3.5" D.
They are in excellent to store very good condition! The only issues are the mother's boots are a little crumpled at the toes and the cradleboard hood is a little bit lopsided. These are from an AZ estate where they purchased them new in the 1970s.
I can always combine shipping and I like to make deals on multiple orders- send me a message!
