The poker is made from new, premium mild steel. Pokers are offered in two lengths of approximately 27 inches or 34 inches (overall length may vary an inch or two).
The poker is hand-forged from new, premium 3/8 inch mild steel sqaure bar stock, sanded, with a black finish for beauty and rust prevention.
The harpoon barn store is a highly functional blacksmith technique that produces both a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing design, but even more importantly, a very sturdy, reliable one. Unlike the standard fire pokers purchased at the big box stores, this hand crafted design is strong enough to turn larger logs while still light-weight enough to enjoy poking the fire late into the night! The downturned point of the barb allows for extra grip and rolling ability of those more stubborn logs.
Though it is a two-pronged end, it is forged from one solid piece of steel, hammered and welded to shape.
Choose from an elegant scroll handle or a pistol grip handle based on your own taste and style!
