Jewelry Box Nativity Scene Decoupaged Decorated Religious Christmas store Holy Family Keepsake Box Madonna and Child with Angels

This religious jewelry box features the a beautiful image of the nativity, accented with sparkling crystals. Decoupaged with lovely patterned papers in blue and burgundy, this would make a beautiful Christmas gift, and a lovely reminder of the meaning of Christmas all year long.

The top of this square box is decoupaged with a Christmas card featuring a detail of the 1600's painting "Nativity" by Charles Poerson which hangs in the Louvre. The wood surrounding the inset of the nativity image has been treated with several layers of gold acrylic paint, antiquing glaze, ink, and gold leaf paint to create a lovely antique-look finish. The surface is then protected with a gloss finish and embellished with gold trimmed ivory ribbon, blue satin ribbon, metal studs, several dazzling light blue Swarovski crystals, and a gold charm stamped with the word 'believe'. The sides store of the lid are decoupaged with burgundy paper with tiny gold polka dots.

The sides of the box are decoupaged in beautifully patterned blue paper, inked around the edges to give an aged look, and sealed in a gloss finish.

The interior of the box is painted burgundy, and dry brushed with antiquing glaze and gold paint to bring out the grain in the wood, and protected with gloss finish. The inset in the interior of the lid is decoupaged with more of the blue paper, and embellished with gold metal flower-shaped studs and more crystals. The bottom interior is lined with burgundy felt.

Measures 5.75 inches square and is 2.75 inches tall.
