I looked everywhere for a copy of this book and could not find it. At least not one that is not scanned online for preservation. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, & is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. 1858 Faithful Walter & the Incendiary: Showing How Divine Providence Sometimes Accomplishes Great Events Through the Medium store of Children. Selected by Mrs. Colman. Published by Rudd & Carleton, New York. The cover says “Aunt Hatty's Stories” Below the publisher on title page reads MDCCCLVIII in Roman Numerals which is what I attribute the date 1858 copyright date. Inscription on front page dated 1869 & faint pencil mark on back inside cover. Book cover is green cloth with gold gilt lettering on spine. String binding is holding together with some separation in between pages see pics. Some discoloration spots and yellowing from age. All in all this copy is in great shape for its age!!! 163 years old. 6” x 5” x .25” 64 pages.
