Vintage store Mexican Margarito Melchor/Alberto Perez Folk Art Wood Carved Angel

This special hand carved Mexican angel was signed by Margarito Melchor and Alberto Perez. She was carved from copal wood, painted with acrylic and her hair was made of jute, dyed a brilliant pink. Pink was also painted on her wings along with the colors of teal, white and brown. Her gown is a medium purple with the collar, end of sleeves and hem in a polka dot design in white and gray. She also has a white string tied around her waist. The signature of both of these carvers is on the angel. Alberto Perez signed her on her wing and Margarito Melchor's signature is on the bottom. This angel will stand out in any collection.
