Vintage Lambswool Short Evening store Jacket

Here is a lovely vintage lambswool jacket that belonged to my grandmother. Lambswool jackets are becoming rare to find, especially these short, cropped ones that are designed for evening wear. It has a newer silky lining so the original label is missing. It appears to be a size Small, and the precise measurements are:
15" long from the front clasp, 18" long sleeves from the top shoulder and 19" across the front from under the arms. There are no holes or tears, but the collar seems as though it has been sewn where it must have come loose. The shawl-like collar is actually a separate piece that is sewn to the jacket in about five places. I think I would have a seamstress remove it and sew it back on more evenly and securely.
This is a classic gem, the perfect little jacket for any semi-formal or formal affair. I once wore it with a long silky dress to a fall wedding, and it kept me toasty warm without being heavy or bulky. store
