Art Deco Jug / Creamer Pitcher, Schäfer & store Vater

Art Deco Creamer Jug or Pitcher of Pierrot playing a mandoline. The spout takes the form of the pierrots mouth. The piece dates from the early 20th century and was made by the German factory Schäfer & Vater, who is famous for speciality creamers. Height is 9 cm. Marked underneath with form number 686 and with the factory mark, though faint.

Schäfer & Vater was founded in Volkstedt Rudolstad, Thuringia in 1890.
