store There were a number of good printers in the US by 1900. Volland was one of the best, employing talented artists and printing techniques.
This set of cards which could have been used as place cards or gift tags in the early part of the 20th century is a lovely example of the type of quality product Volland produced. The design is iconic, with saturated colors and gold gilding. Each card is beautifully embossed.
The set is unused and all twelve cards are present.
Measurements: box 3 3/4 x 2 x 1/2 inches
Card: 3 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches
Condition: the box is made of a light cardboard and is creases on the one side. Cards are all in like-new condition. Some small water staining by chimney on box-card.
