store Here is a handmade quilt for a new bundle of joy. This quilt is a wonderful crib blanket. I used a panel in the center. This adorable panel is 2 owls perched in a tree. I love the accent fabrics I found that go with it. The main colors are blue, green and yellow. I made a fabulous boarder with matching colors out of 2 inch squares. The backing is a sweet blue fabric with deer and owls and rabbits. I made an accent strip down the back for interest.
The binding is a striped bright fabric. I double over the binding, machine sewed on the front and hand stitch on the back. The machine quilting is a beautiful butterfly pattern. It is perfect for this quilt. The thread on the back is blue and the front is cream colored, it blends in perfectly.
What a perfect quilt for a baby shower or baptism. This quilt is well made and meant to be used and washed often. I wash my quilts in cool water and hang to dry. Once washed this blanket will be very soft and cuddly for a child to use as a comfort item. I know the new owner will enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.
