In what was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, I had the opportunity to volunteer with the non-profit Floating Doctors in Panama. Their mission is to reduce the burden of disease and infant mortality in the developing world. The Ngabe people living in the remote rainforest communities they serve are greatly benefiting from access to these compassionate providers of healthcare.

Inspired by some of the wonderful people and scenery I encountered, I painted a woman rowing her cayuco (traditional boat carved from a single tree trunk) through the turquoise waters.

The canvas is half an inch deep, the staples are on the back, and the sides are finished in black paint. It will arrive ready to hang and can be displayed as is, or you can have it framed if preferred.

I will be happy to include a personalized gift note if you let me know who to address it to at checkout.

In the interest of longevity, please handle carefully and display out of direct sunlight.
