Product code: Antique tin store
his very rare and unique bird cage is made of tin. The bottom is stamped with Pat June 3 30 (1930). It is painted ivory or antique white but may have originally been black. There are signs that it may have been painted some time ago. The front door slides up and has " Ye Wayside Inn" embossed in the metal. The inside has the wood perch. The bottom comes off like a cookie tin and has clips to hold in place. It has it's 2 glass feeders/water holders that slide on. The glass is store a smoke color, which is very unusual. Most I've seen are clear. It has some interior rust , mostly on the bottom. The paint has some chips and scratches and the metal has a few dings and dents, but nothing too bad. Cool decorative piece. I had ideas of lighting it and hanging like a swag lamp. It would also be a cool candle cover. Easy to set candles in the bottom a place the top back. You would probably want to remove the wood perch first. I ship same or next business day.
