Vintage Purple Charoite Clip On Earrings for Women Non-Pierced, Southwestern Statement Jewelry, Gift for Wife Aunt, store Healing Stone

These vintage earrings are simple and striking, with a gemstone that is either purple charoite or purple agate. The creamy swirly nature of the stone leads me to believe it is charoite, an especially beautiful stone for the naturally occurring purple color. It was first discovered in the 1940s in Russia, along the Chara River. "Chary" means "magic" store or "charms" in the Russian language, and the stone is said to have strong physical and emotional healing energies, said to help with being present to the here and now. The purple color is perfect to mix and match with pastels. And their fairly large size makes them especially noticeable for those with short hair. We believe these are Native American made, but since they have no maker's mark, we call them Southwestern or Native style. No hallmark, yet it tests positive for sterling silver.

The earrings measure about 3/4" wide at the widest point by 1-3/8" long. Weigh 8g each or 16g total. In good condition.
