Maple Samaras

Maple seeds. What did you call them as a kid? Whirlygigs? A spinning Jenny? Did you peel them back and stick them on your nose or was that just me? Regardless, samaras (the botanical name for maple seeds) can be beautiful and bring back childhood memories.
