Pablo The Golden Gypsy Stories of the Zíngaro People The book tells the story of a young gypsy named Pablo, son of the leader of the gypsy tribe. A very handsome, friendly store and humble young man, who the whole tribe loved and respected, even before he assumed the leadership of the tribe that would be his when his father Marco died, so dictated the rules of his people, and so it happened when he was still very young.

Paul became known as the gypsy of gold, because at a time of great need of his people, who had been assaulted on the way, Paul by sheer luck found a gold mine in a cave, thus supplying all the needs of his tribe.

In the tribe there was a tradition that children were promised after birth, in marriage to another young man by the parents. And so it was with Pablo and Sarita and so it was. They married and had five children, their firstborn being ĺzalon, a young man of bad character, who mistreated and humiliated others for being the son of the leader and thinking that he was superior, because one day he would also be a leader. Therefore, ĺzalon brought many problems to Paul and his tribe, because many times the love of a father spoke more of himself than of the role of leader to apply the due punishments as required by the Gypsy laws. Ízalon also had the image of the tribe denigrated before the city in one of his exploits, thus bringing trouble not only to him but to all his people.
