A lovely antique edition of The Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments: Translated out of the Original Tongues and with the Former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised, by His Majesty's Special Command. Appointed to be read in Churches. Containing Church Hymnary, Translations and Paraphrases in Verse, and the Psalms of David in Metre, According to the Versions Approved by The Church of Scotland

Bound in a black faux leather binding with red stain to all page edges and gilt tootled title to spine. White end papers with inscription to front. The text pages are very bright and clean, with no visible signs of foxing, and remains in good antique condition. Binding is sound, though a little pulled away at the spine and retains the beautiful bowed shape of the page edges. Some signs of wear to internal page joints. Some bumping to corners and light rubbing around boards, with one or two spots of staining. A few odd folds to pages including title page.
