Vintage 1980's/1990's Vintage store Noritake New Decade Cafe Du Soir Oval Vegetable Bowl and Round Vegetable Bowl, Discontinued, Art Nouveau

Noritake's New Decade line of china was elegant enough for a dinner party while being sturdy enough for everyday use. This line of Noritake dinnerware was in production from the years 1985 to 1997. The Cafe Du Soir pattern in this line is distinctively sophisticated. The pieces in this pattern are decorated with a gray border and have beautiful irises in soft pastel hues of lavender and rose with stems and leaves in a subdued green. The decorations on these pieces give them a timeless feel of Art Nouveau making them stylish these many years after they were produced.

This listing is for 2 serving bowls- one round vegetable bowl and one oval vegetable bowl. The large oval vetetable bowl has a spray of two large irises, one rose and one lavender, on the inside. Like the other pieces, there is a small dark gray line around the rim. The round serving bowl has a flaired rim with a small lavender iris on the inside and a large rose and lavender iris on the store outside sitting above a dark gray border.

**Condition - The oval bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or other damage. The round bowl has a small chip and crack on the top edge (see photo #10). This damage is minor, so the bowl is still useable. Due to the damage, the pieces have been priced accordingly.

Remember that vintage items have had a former life and aren not perfect, which adds to their charm. Please refer to the photos as they are an important part of the description.
