Stunning 12mm store x 12mm Kingfisher Murano glass beads complemented 5mm x 4mm Ancient Roman glass roundels. All hand set in sterling silver with Yellow Gold Accent and a stud drop design

These earrings are from my Italian Glass Collection. Italy is famous for its glass production since the 13th century. The most famous is Venetian glass, most concentrated production from the island of Murano with its vivid colours and swirls of gold. Empoli in Tuscany is well know for its trademark green glass known as “Empoli Verde: was created from the iron that occurred locally in the sands of the region. Ancient Roman iridescent glass objects have been recovered across the Roman Empire and recycled into new artworks.
